ELECTRONIC WARFARE SUPPORT


EWA-Canada has been involved in the development of the electronic warfare operational support concepts and specifically, the CFEWC capabilities, since 1989. EWA-Canada has comprehensive experience in the development and support of the Canadian Forces Electronic Warfare Centre (CFEWC), including the Canadian Forces Electronic Warfare Database (CFEWDB) and the Electronic Warfare Threat Analysis (EWTA) System. EWA-Canada has been an integral part of the evolution of the CFEWC, and the CFEWDB and the associated application over the past several years. Our approach then and now centres on a traceable, detailed requirements identification and analysis approach. This is accomplished through the definition of business requirements (i.e. the expectations of services and products by CFEWC clients) through interviews (primary) and document analysis (secondary).

Our expertise includes: radar and communications, including electronic support measures (ESM), electronic countermeasures (ECM) and electronic counter-countermeasures (ECCM); electronic warfare (EW) operational support, including EW threat analysis, database programming; electro-optics; and the development of various technical software applications and data bases.

EWA-Canada also has extensive experience in:

  • designing and testing radar and electro-optical systems;
  • developing databases and tools to support the building of EW mission libraries;
  • building both test and operational EW mission libraries for both Navy and Air Force systems.
  • designing and implementing the CFEWDB and the EWTA operated by CFEWC;
  • analyzing over 400 emitters and associated platforms and weapon systems, which have been used to populate the CF Threat Analysis Document (CFTAD) and the CFEWDB;
  • providing threat analysis services to the CFEWC and conducted physical and electronic tests of the various weapon systems and complex radar systems; and
  • providing operational test and evaluation mission planning and analysis support for specific operational systems.
